Tayfun Alaylioglu was born in 1984 in Canakkale. Due his father's job, he moved to Adana where he graduated from primary, secondary and high schools. In 2002 he moved to Istanbul in order to improve himself in several subjects.

He started to show interest in photography while he was living with his uncle whom is his idol. With the support of his family and friends, he started to photography as a hobby. 

Inspired by the photography artists such Murat Pulat, Altan Bal and Ali Oz, he decided to improve himself in documentary photography. In 2007 he attended to Bahcesehir University PoV (photography and video) department. Meanwhile he worked in several agencies and companies.
